# $FLY

![](/files/WAsZgIlxGFxCjuXOm8ik)

$FLY is the main and only tradable token of Hoppers Game. We chose to go the single token route due to its simplistic nature, and because we wanted to do something with the staking of the token itself.

$FLY is an inflationary token with no cap. Due to the inflationary nature, many different tactics were utilized to fight sell pressure. The goal of course with both is to remove supply from circulation.

### Burning

Burning is a major aspect of the Hoppers Game tokenomics. As $FLY is used in various places within the game, $FLY is burned as a means of reducing the overall supply as quickly as possible.

Some examples of burning within the game:

* Name Change
* Leveling your Hopper
* Breeding Adventure
* Overflow of emissions past level cap

### Staking

Staking of tokens is the second major deflationary tactic implemented. Staking of $FLY tokens is solely used to generate veFLY, which will be discussed in the next section.
